We have started the new term with Arts Fortnight and it has been wonderful to see everybody so absorbed in their learning.

In Writing, we have introduced our new model text, focusing on fiction openings. We have also been learning how to punctuate speech correctly, and the children are excellent at remembering the song that helps us do this. Be sure to ask them to perform it at home! We have also been developing our fronted adverbial skills and have introduced ‘FAing’. Take a look at some examples.

In Art, we have finished our large Iron Man gestural drawings. I will attach a few examples below and you will be able to see all of the artwork at our exhibition on 13th November. Tis week we have made our Iron Man prototypes using plasticine and today we built our own final piece using clay!

The class has also been learning a dance with Mrs Fox, which is coming together really nicely. We have also made Pizzas linking to our Roman learning!
