We have had another busy and exciting week of learning!

This week, we designed our own Celtic shields. We discussed and explored different shield designs, noticing the patterns, colours and symbols used. We then used our ideas and observations to design our own unique Celtic shields.

In Maths, we have been introduced to a new area of learning: rounding to the nearest 10 and 100. We have been practising identifying which multiple of 10 or 100 a number is closest to and are beginning to develop our confidence with this new skill.

In Science, we carried out an egg experiment mimicking the enamel on our teeth. We are investigating the effects of sugary liquids on our teeth over time. The children have been very curious and excited to see what will happen, making sure to check on the experiment each day and discuss any changes they notice.

During music with Mr Ash, the children enjoyed taking part in a samba lesson. They learned about rhythm and beat and worked together to create some lively musical performances.
