Lost in a Labyrinth!

This week we have explored 4-figure grid references in Geography. We practised reading grid squares by moving along the corridor first and then up the stairs, helping us to identify the correct easting and northing.

We welcomed Routes and Roots this week for a photography session and a creative writing workshop. Pupils learned about labyrinths and explored their meaning and structure. They designed and drew their own labyrinths before using them as inspiration for poetry. Each pupil created a poem and carefully wrote it around the path of their labyrinth.

Because of the sunny weather, we took advantage and read our new class novel The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane outside!
