Safe Digital Citizens!

In Maths, we have been recapping and revisiting place value. We used a range of manipulatives to help us explore numbers and understand the value of each digit. Using practical resources helped us to see how numbers can be built, partitioned and represented in different ways.

We have also begun our new music learning with Mr Ash. We have started exploring Samba music and have been getting to grips with the rhythms, sounds and instruments involved.

This week, we were all given an iPad to use in our learning for the entirety of Year 4! Before we got started, we talked about the importance of staying safe online and discussed some key internet safety rules. We thought carefully about what information we should keep private, how to behave responsibly online and what to do if something makes us feel uncomfortable.

We then put our knowledge into practice by playing ‘Interland’, an exciting internet safety game. We had lots of fun exploring the different challenges while learning important skills for being safe, kind and responsible digital citizens.
