4C have had a very busy week of learning.
In writing we began our new topic of ‘openings’. During the imitation stage, we did lots of drama to learn the model text. On Friday we took part in a Writing World Cup where pupils, in partners, got competitive to craft and complete ‘M., FA, M. and M&M’ sentences. We were particularly focusing on including punctuation (even those pesky full stops), capital letters and adjectives to describe the setting.
In maths we began our next topic, Multiplication and Division. We have been learning all of the secret facts of times tables which have blown our minds. For example, in the nine times table each digit adds up to 9 — 1+8=9, 2+7=9, 3+6=9. We have been practising our times tables because 4C refuse to lose the Year 4 TTRS competition again.
Set your timers for ten minutes and let’s try to beat the other Year 4 classes. We can do this, I know we can! It will really support our learning in class.
Important reminders: this week it is Anti-Bullying Week. Monday 10th November is Odd Socks Day. Choose your wildest socks and rock them into school.

See you all tomorrow
Miss Chadwick
